One of the biggest challenges is infidelity in a Christian marriage. It's heartbreaking, devastating and awful all at the same time and it's because you deepest and truest trust has been utterly broken.

Coping with infidelity in a Christian marriage is a very hard battle and I know this because it has also happened to me. And if this has also happened to you, know that you are not alone. Know that your heartache and pain are not unique, although that doesn't make them any less personal and deep. But I have good news for you!

Understand why you had infidelity in a Christian marriage with an open mind. This didn't happen without a reason so you and your spouse need to find out why this has happened. This may be the hardest step but the spouse that had the affair needs to get real honest with themselves about why this happened.

With infidelity in a Christian marriage you should always focus on yourself first. When you are working with hard issues and intense emotions you have to keep your focus on yourself. When I was going through this I stopped eating, I stopped sleeping and I just plain old stopped doing anything. Make sure you are eating healthy foods, drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep. Once you have taken care of you, you now can work on other issues.

Coping with infidelity in a Christian marriage cannot be done without divine help that you receive through prayer. I found that the best way to do this was with daily devotions. If you use daily devotions just for the betrayed spouse you will find incredible help as you face this devastating experience. As you work through all the emotions of the affair, you will need God's divine love and power to help you.
